I started writing these little stories to remind myself of the silver lining behind each cloud.  That is to say, when we came to Japan, there were many things which were difficult.  But they were difficult in a culturally interesting way and, upon reflection, had some element of humor that should be acknowledged.  So, I started writing up these experiences and emailing them to friends and family - some who live in Japan and can relate to these experiences, but mainly to people in the US that live a safe and sane (and boring!) existence and seem to take strange delight in my difficulties.

These stories seem to have gotten quite popular - so I'm archiving them here for the world to see.  Fame and Fortune!

This isn't a blog - I can't handle the deadline pressure!  But if you are interested in reading my latest stories, send an email and I'll try to put you on the distribution list.  New stories will eventually make their way to this site but there may be a lag.  Let me know what you think - an author appreciates positive feedback.
